At the heart of Gagebrook, Herdsman’s Cove, and Bridgewater, the Jordan River Service is a welcoming space where people come together to share, connect, and build a stronger community.
The Jordan River Service brings together the Gagebrook Community House, the Waterbridge Food Pantry, the Bridgewater Community House, and the Jordan River Community Workshed—vibrant hubs that connect people across these neighbourhoods and surrounding areas with services, resources, and opportunities that make everyday life better and brighter.
We work in partnership with the community, guided by local voices and ideas that reflect its strengths, challenges, and aspirations. Whether it’s finding practical support, learning new skills, or simply meeting others and feeling part of something bigger, we’re here to nurture connections and support what matters most.
As part of the Tasmanian Neighbourhood Houses network, we’re proud to provide spaces and programs shaped by and for our community. From practical assistance to places where friendships grow, our focus is always on working together to address local needs and celebrate community strengths.
Explore what’s happening, get involved, and discover how we can work together to create a more connected, vibrant, and supportive community for everyone.
