Get Involved with Jordan River Service

At Jordan River Service, volunteers are the heart and soul of our community. You can create your own program or help out at our centers. Your unique talents, ideas, and energy make a real difference. From sharing your leadership skills to lending a helping hand, every contribution supports our mission to connect community, support people, create opportunities, and champion local leadership.

Create Your Own Initiative

Have an idea for a program or activity that aligns with our mission? It might be a wellness workshop, art class, youth group, or something entirely new. We want to hear from you. We value your creativity and will work closely with you to bring your project to life. Your program will benefit from the support and reach of our network across Gagebrook, Bridgewater, Herdsman’s Cove, and beyond. Together, we can transform a simple idea into a vibrant, impactful experience for our community.

Volunteer at Our Centers

Our community houses and the Workshed are always looking for volunteers to help in different roles. You might enjoy gardening, mentoring, workshop facilitation, or everyday support tasks. There is a place for you here. At the Jordan River Community Workshed, volunteers guide community projects, offer practical support, and foster a creative atmosphere. These roles are flexible and built around your availability and skills. At our Gagebrook and Bridgewater Community Houses, volunteers support children and families, assist with cooking classes, help run community crafts, or get involved in licencing programs.

Why Volunteer with JRS?

You will join a vibrant and welcoming environment where your efforts directly enhance community wellbeing. You will also belong to a collaborative network that values innovation and local leadership across our Derwent Valley community.
